A campaign for the NFL's New
Orleans Saints has scored well for New Orleans agency Peter Mayer. The
"Everything's Better On Game Day" campaign featuring three spots
directed by Ron Gross of Blue Goose Productions was honored with the
prestigious Effie Award. The Effie is special to agencies and their
clients for it recognizes not only creative excellence but results as
well. The work features players and in one instance cheerleaders
helping to improve life¹s normal frustrations. The work, Blue Goose and
Gross¹ second campaign for the team, led to an unprecedented increase
in season ticket sales. Gross has subjected Saints players to an angry
alligator, a stubborn vending machine, a speeding school bus, a packed
street car, too much Tabasco and knows an Effie.
